Poetry Spotlight: Rabea Jadallah pt 2

Demand some answers.(Rap)

They should have never let us inside a basement, because our roars will crack the deepest of pavements,
We are part of an equation, still, the world watches and leans back in amazement.

Its a culture clash, described as a backlash, and you're surprised
We are not satisfied with this titan hawk cash!? No, they are only talking to us with guns and tear gas.

That's our language, with broken bones, broken hopes, and broken homes that don't get bandaged,

Feel this anguish, burn in flames,
Our rivers are covered with blood stains

And yet nobody seems to explain why
Our brothers die nearby.

Woman don't cry wipe your eye and hold your head high, because if you did
I bet they will never let your tears dry

Stand up!

People, please just keep on standing,
Even though the circle of pain just keeps expanding, even though on our best days they label us branded,
Handed by certain rules that we can't understand them, mend them,
Its not long till they are back on the manner,"the truth of the matter".
There aint no truth in this matter,
The truth is back home we got troops in the manner, these people
Are right abusers,
we need our soldiers back home not in faloja,
Move up, and handle your home affairs, your secretary should handle his own affairs, its like, we want justice but no one cares, Stand up for your justice but no one dares.

Stand up
and demand some answers, see past the lies and these ignorant facts.
Stand up
for your right like what marvin did, they carry on like we aren't here, but we're hardly dead.
Stand up
for equality, a life full of quality,
where there is a lord above me,
no war, no poverty
Stand up till it's peaceful, against these lethals.
Stand up, put your hands up
stand for your people.

I believe in peace, but believe peace will never come, too many moms, sons, and brothers to the gun, either that or afford a torture, that's why they fill up with stones since their tanks never run,

I mean do you know how many people deceased in the season, and you still talk about bringing peace to the region,

please
Mothers on their knees screaming peace, but they already felt peace till they are even,

You got plans made, settled and hand shaken
more boarders, maps, and lands taken,

There is no order, they trapped in the soil over, homes getting gunned and ruined by bulldozers, no matter who survives when troops arrive, civilian casualties gets covered up by food supplies, listen, we got plans of messing your plans up, got people with hands up ready to Stand up.

_____

It is criminal to teach a man not to defend himself, when he is the constant victim of brutal attacks

  1. I don't know this person, but I'm glad the spotlight is on him! This is really well written! It tells a story, a TRUE story, and it helps open the eyes of ignorant people. I like this writer a lot!
